Fred Gaskill

Chairman

Fred Gaskill of Anderson, IN retired from GMC and Ivy Tech State College. Fred joined the Family Connection Board of Directors in 2005. Fred and his wife Joyce attend the South Meridian Church of God in Anderson, IN where Fred serves on many ministry teams. Fred earned a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and continues to use his education by providing valuable trainings for the staff at Hope Hill Children's Home.

Skip Holley

Vice Chairman

Skip Holley of Mt. Sterling, KY is an employee of Apollo Oil. Skip rejoined the board in 2008 but had served previously as a board member for Family Connection. Skip and his wife Charity attend the Hope First Church of God in Hope, KY where Skip serves on the board and also teaches Sunday School.

Doug Shearer

Treasurer

Doug Shearer of Huber Heights, OH recently joined our Board of Directors. Doug is a graduate of Wright State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He also became a Certified Public Accountant through the Accountancy Board of Ohio. Doug became involved with Family Connection because he believes in the ministry. He considers it a privilege to serve on the board and provide oversight to the ministries financial management which enables the leadership and staff to continue their important work of counseling youth through life's most difficult situations.

Kaye Leighton

Kaye Leighton is originally from Northport, MI but currently resides in Mt. Sterling, KY where she attends the Mt. Sterling First Church of God. Kaye received her BS in Animal & Veterinary Science from West Virginia University. After working for several years in the Thoroughbred industry in Central KY, she returned to school and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1995 from the University Of Louisville Brandeis School Of Law. Kaye is a partner in the law firm of Patrick, Leighton & Hall, PLLC in Mt. Sterling, KY. She is also a member of the local Kiwanis Club where she previously served on the Club’s Board of Directors and as President. Kaye has been on the FCI board since 2007. She feels truly blessed to serve on the Board.

Ralph Wilcoxson

Magistrate Ralph Wilcoxson is a native Daytonian and product of Dayton Public Schools. He is an alumnus of The Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986. He entered St. Mary’s University School of law in 1990 and received his Juris Doctorate in December 1992. Ralph and his family attend Covenant Community Church where he teaches and serves as an Elder and Parliamentarian. He is also a member of the executive committee of Sound Words Ministry, Inc. where he teaches a weekly leadership class for men. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Thurgood Marshal Law Society, The Ohio Association of Magistrates and The Dayton Bar Association.

Ron Maurer

Ron Maurer of Murfreesboro, TN has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2005. Ron is a Professor of Social Work, Social Sciences and Public Administration at Trevecca Nazarene University. He also has a Ph.D. in Public Administration. Ron and his wife Jacque served nine years as missionaries in Japan and now attend the Rockvale Church of God. Ron became involved with the ministry of Family Connection Inc. to serve by using his professional/ educational training and spiritual gifts

Greg Wilkins

Audit & Finance

Reverend Greg Wilkins of Colorado Springs, CO is in his second year of service with Family Connection Inc. He attended Anderson College and is currently the Senior Pastor of Vista Grande Church of God. He became involved in the ministries of Family Connection because he is anxious to help serve broken families and is passionate about helping to bring transformation in young people's lives. He also serves on the State Credentials Board and the Northern Churches Care Board of Directors. In addition to his service to the Kingdom he enjoys photography, fly fishing, reading and exploring new places.

James Rollins

Dr. James R. Rollins is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Mt. Sterling, KY where he attends the First Church of God. He is involved with mission groups, small groups and the youth ministry building project. James is also on the board for the Kentucky Surgery Center and St. Joseph Mt Sterling. He is interested in helping children to become closer with Christ and help them lead productive lives. As a board member, he looks to serve the needs of the children at Hope Hill.

Lana Root

Member

Lana Root of Morehead, KY joined the Board of Directors in 2012. Lana is a Chef by Experience and opened Root-A-Baker’s Bakery in Morehead 13 years ago. She attends the Morehead First Church of God and enjoys singing in the choir. Since getting involved with the ministry of Family Connection, Lana has used her skills to teach several girls to bake and has been blessed by the experiences.
